Overview
As an Associate Attorney with ZGB, Kathryn brings an extensive background in insurance, providing a unique perspective to help support her client’s business needs and interests. In 2017, Kathryn pursued her lifelong dream of becoming an attorney, obtaining her Juris Doctorate in 2021 from UNT Dallas College of Law. While attending law school at night, she worked full-time, demonstrating her determination to achieve her goals. Kathryn is a member of the Phi Delta Phi International Honors Society and the Royal Ferguson Inn. Prior to starting her legal career, Kathryn spent over 20 years in property casualty insurance, gaining invaluable experience as a claims advocate for fortune 100 companies. Kathryn has also gained hands-on clinical medical experience following her graduation from Governors State University with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration.
Kathryn is also a certified mediator, providing the experience necessary to allow her to objectively analyze her client’s cases and to recommend the best approach to litigation. She has experience in litigation from start to finish including as second chair at trial. Her experience is a testament to her dedication and fierce advocacy for her clients.

- Won defense verdict, as second chair, in a premises liability case, with the verdict being returned in 13 minutes.
- Attended trials, as second chair, in premises liability and large property damage disputes.
- Successfully resolved a wrongful death lawsuit arising from an explosion in Dallas—protecting our client, a contractor, from a potential excess verdict.
- Won No-Evidence Motion for Summary Judgment for a local grocery store.
- Won Motion to Dismiss with Prejudice based on Chapter 74 against a nurse.
- Won Traditional Motion for Summary Judgment in a premises liability case involving a business owner’s liability for security on the premises.
- Successfully resolved several dram shop actions involving minor injuries to wrongful death damages.
- Litigated several cases involving premises liability, negligent security, dram shop, construction defect, commercial litigation. Litigated cases involving complex catastrophic injuries, including, but not limited to, wrongful death, catastrophic crushing injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and severe burns.
